Veterans Day 2020

This November feels a lot different. The world is not where it was a year ago. With all that is going on, sometimes we do not get the opportunity to stop and look back at how far we have come and how far we have to go. Nevertheless, without even knowing it sometimes, we have all grown to appreciate another person. Whether it is the nurse working her third double shift, the firefighter risking their life to save someone’s home, or the mother taking on the job of a teacher to homeschool her children, our list of heroes and heroines have grown.

This month we get two opportunities to pause and reflect on those who have made a difference in our lives.

The first is Veterans Day. This is a day designated to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces

This Veterans Day, Civility Management Solutions will be donating necessities to the Maryland GROUP HOMES FOUNDATION, a 501(c)3 organization, in need of assistance and multiple supplies, to restore group homes for homeless, female veterans.

According to the Veterans Administration, the most recent point-in-time count of people experiencing homelessness, reported by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), identified 4,338 women Veterans who were experiencing homelessness, comprising 9.1% of the entire Veteran homeless population.

We at CivilityMS are Veteran-owned and Veteran committed. We will continue to support our Veteran community by providing resources, supplies, and volunteering.

Thank you, Veterans, for your service to this country.

Your sacrifice is not forgotten.
