As we take this week to think back on all that we are thankful for, one of the many blessings that I am grateful for is being able to sustain a successful small business. Owning a small business is tough. Being a woman owning a small business is even tougher. It comes with challenges, lessons learned, long days, and even longer nights. However, through the support of my amazing team, family, friends, and network of customers and fellow business owners, I have been able to sustain success throughout the years and even a global pandemic.
According to a new study by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the pandemic has disproportionately impacted the health of women-owned businesses. The number of female business owners who ranked their business’s overall health as “somewhat or very good” fell 13 points during the pandemic, from 60% in January to 47% in July 2020. By contrast, the number of male business owners reporting a “good” business health status only fell five points in the same period (67% to 62%).
Civility Management Solutions (CivilityMS) has been fortunate to remain in business throughout the year and even managing to make the Inc. 5000 2020 list.
Putting it forward, CivilityMS partners with and hires multiple small businesses and small business owners to ensure we are able to consistently provide excellence for our customers.
Some of those businesses are:
- Brands By Bry Communication
- Cadre of Human Capital Training Consultants
- Charles Walton Law Firm
- HRinMotion, LLC
- TWP Consulting (CPA)
