During the holiday season it is easy to forget the many members of our Armed Forces that are away from their loved ones, and Veterans who courageously served their country and are now faced with homelessness.  I would like to take a moment to highlight one organization, Final Salute Inc., whose mission is to provide homeless women veterans with safe and suitable housing.

Since 2011, Final Salute Inc. has supported 150 women veterans and children by providing transitional housing or preventing homelessness through emergency financial assistance. With an estimated 55,000 homeless women veterans throughout the United States there are many more women veterans and children to assist.
